SIRKM'18

The Seminar on Information Retrieval and Knowledge Management 2018 (SIRKM’18) welcomes all postgraduate students to share their ongoing research and provide an opportunity to share their work in brief oral presentations. SIRKM’18 aims to encourage knowledge sharing by providing a platform for interactive discussions with experts in information retrieval, knowledge management and its related fields. It also hopes to encourage community-building by connecting early and advanced researchers. SIRKM’18 is jointly organised by International Islamic University  Malaysia (IIUM) and Society of Information Retrieval and Knowledge Management, Malaysia (PECAMP).

The Seminar on Information Retrieval and Knowledge Management 2018 (SIRKM’18) welcomes all postgraduate students to share their ongoing research and provide an opportunity to share their work in brief oral presentations. We invite students from all Malaysian public and private institutions to submit extended abstracts of current research being undertaken on the following topics:

• Information retrieval
• Knowledge management
• Big data
• Multimedia analytics
• Information visualisation

Authors of all accepted extended abstracts are invited to submit the full version of the papers for publication consideration in the Journal of Information Retrieval and Knowledge Management (JIRKM) Vol. 4 (http://jirkm.pecamp.org/)

Students are invited to submit the extended abstracts of their current research being undertaken by 27 August 2018  2 September 2018. See the Call for Abstracts for the list of topics.

Submission Instructions

• All extended abstracts should be submitted by email to sirkm18@iium.edu.my
• The subject heading of the email should be trackID_authorName_shortTitle
• The naming convention for the document should be trackID_authorName_ShortTitle.docx
  • E.g. IR_NadeemFarhan_ImageRetrievalWavelets.docx
• Track IDs are as follows: IR (Information Retrieval), KM (Knowledge Management), BD (Big Data), MM (Multimedia Analytics) and IV (Information Visualisation)
